menopause - the gift that keeps on giving

Menopause is the gift that keeps on giving. I just got a call from my doctor's office that my cholesterol has shot throught the roof and I have to go on medication to bring it down.

4 years ago I had great cholesterol and now I am suddenly high risk - and 100 points higher.

I thought that losing 15lbs (yea!) would help bring my number down, but clearly menopause trumps weight loss.

I'm sorry to about your cholesterol. Wish the year could have started with better news for you.

Maybe it was a lab error? Better make sure before they push drugs on you. Just a suggestion!

Mine shot up 100 points too. Well, 97. But I am not heading into menopause, I refuse to believe it! [Please no!] I blame the IVF meds and/or the pizza and ice cream I tend to shovel in my mouth after a failure. I keep managing to lower it with crazy dieting and then it shoots right back up again after a cycle. I should probably monitor it during a cycle to check at what point it goes up, but that costs money!

I somehow stumbled across your blog and started reading your posts. I just wanted you to know it helps to read about someone else my age trying to conceive.
